Of all the trends to emerge in the past few months, patchwork is probably among my least favorite. This week, I challenged myself to find some pieces even the most patchwork-phobic decorator could adore.

If, like me, you find those quilted chesterfields, divans, and — gasp — womb chairs more dizzying than drool-worthy, take note. The subtle palettes and luxurious textures in this collection just might win you over.

Good finds--makes me think of some of the work of Australian artist Rosalie Gascoign: http://www.roslynoxley9.com.au/artists/15/Rosalie_Gascoigne/298/29484/

"Modern Patchwork You Can Live With"
Is the thought that we couldn't live with traditional patchwork?
And please note: "patchwork" does not necessarily mean "quilted." Patchwork is piecing fabric together. Quilting is stitching through multiple layers of fabric; the top layer may or may not be patchwork.

I love patchwork - the simpler the better. Patchwork - not for patchwork sake, but functional and appealing!
