The Pillow Dreams Project: Affordable Fair Trade Pillows
Boston

pillow-project.jpg

The current issue of Domino magazine reveals a great new source for beautiful, handcrafted pillows. The Pillow Dreams Project pays tribal women from Thailand, Vietnam and South Africa fair wages for their textiles and pillow cases, but that’s not the best part…

When you purchase these beautiful pillows ($20-$40 per pillow) from the Pillow Dreams Project, 50% of the profits go directly to non-profit organizations that benefit children and women in the countries where the pillow cases are made.

So the next time you’re about to buy pillows from a retailer that imports them, but not at fair wages, check out the great selection of brightly colored silk, cotton, and hemp pillows from The Pillows Dreams project.

Next time I start whining about the high price of pillows, someone please remind me about the Pillow Dreams Project.
