Rope Benches & Stools by Madshome

We loved to waterski when we were younger, which might explain our fascination with these colorful wood benches which are made with the same poly-rope typically used for waterskiing ropes! Handmade by an Etsy furniture maker, these benches and stools are also reasonably priced...

You can order the bench or stool in a wide array of colors (white, grey, black, black/green, black/red, blue, navy-blue, green, yellow, orange and red). The benches measure L60" x W18" x H16" and cost $250 while the stools are L27" x W18" x H16" and will run you $200.00. We think these would be an eye-popping treat indoors or outdoors!

I really like these a lot, despite the possibility of "rope butt." I'm going to file this one away..

Erm, the benches and the stools are highly unlikely to be the same dimensions....

These designers from Brussels are doing something similar. Hope the link works:

These benches look just like the handmade benches and chairs that the Association for the Blind use to sell when I was little. Well...the shapes are much more modern, but the actually weaving and materials look EXACTLY the same.
We use to have them all over our house because they were so handy and funky and very well made.

Hmmm....maybe that's where they got the idea...

They are awesome. Even with the risk of rope butt.

real practical for outdoor use (especially this spring/summer with all the rain the NE has had)

thinking also, any indoor location where you might come in out of the rain/snow ... a place to sit, soaking wet, while taking off the shoes etc.

teak for the wood frame would be nice

nice bright colors

that rope butt image is pretty funny, guys
