I usually avoid traditional holiday decor, but when I spotted this wreath made from book pages on Design Crush, I instantly fell in love with its elegant form, ruffled texture, and vintage feel. If the thought of taking an exacto to your favorite read makes you a little squeamish, take heart. Most of these designs were made using mass market fiction or found materials.

Just the thing for those old copies of Metropolitain Home and Williams Sonoma catalogs...

That first wreath is stunning. I think i would go one step further and use a metallic silver spray paint on it.
On a side note. I really like that you are including the description and link under the gallery images now. At this point AP has the best gallery of any site I frequent. Thanks!

Such a great idea! I was looking for something to adorn my slightly slanted walls and this is perfect.

Take it a step further and use old sheet music (Christmas carols?!) and hang it in your Creativity sector or old road maps and hang it in your Travel & Helpful People area. Cool!

I am honored to see 2 of my wreaths in this article on Apartment Therapy! Thank you so much! I believe another one may be seen in Jason Thompson's house tour as well.
Have a lovely day!

What a great idea! I love paper, especially newspaper, book pages and old sheet music (Thank you, FengShuiByFishgirl!).
I've been looking for some time already for a 'natural' wreath that can withstand the warmth in the house. These paper wreaths are a great alternative to those made from twigs without looking like kindergarten handicraft. Thanks a lot!

Oh, this is great! I think I'll print text from the web. The Gnostic Gospels would look cool, or the Dhammapada in Pali or Sanskrit.

I just made the romance novel wreath last night while watching one of my favorite DVDs. It took slightly less time than the length of the movie. It turned out great; I swapped the vintage gray and brown paint for a more festive holiday green. I already have a coworker asking me to make one for her. It definately put me in a crafty mood.

Thanks for this round up! I made a book page wreath inspired by Lindsay's post (the first one). I love how it turned out!
