Painting old furniture bright colors, or any color for that matter, seems to stir up lots of feelings for our AT readers. Some love the look, others consider the act a violation of old furniture. As unapologetic color floozies, we fall on the side of loving the look, so we were delighted to learn of a newish small business, based in Jamaica Plain, MA that revives old pieces with eye-popping color...

Chroma Lab is the labor of love of Alicia Cornwell, an art historian, and Tony Bevilacqua, a fine artist. The prices on their one of a kind pieces reflect the extensive amount of work that goes into successfully refinishing and reviving old furniture.

Chroma Lab also makes colorful clocks and floorcloths. All of their items are available for sale online in their Etsy shop. Since Chroma Lab makes one of a kind pieces, check their site regularly for new items. They also offer free delivery in the Boston area!

They're all gorgeous! I just recently painted my parent's hand-me-down, colonial-style foyer table a bright lime green and put new hardware on it and now it's smokin' HOT!
