We’ve all felt it. Strolling through a quiet museum, you have to resist the compulsive urge to reach out and touch the paintings. To experience their textures with your hands. And resist you do, because you’re a grown-up. Well, nationally renowned textile designer Hilary Law gives you the opportunity to not only touch her artwork, you can even walk on it….
Hilary, a Boston-based designer, produces beautiful floorcloths for your home or office spaces. These pieces are much more than decorative; they are pieces of art in their own right that deserve to be studied and ogled. Using thick cotton canvas, she creates contemporary floor art with water-based paints, sealed with many layers of polyurethane to protect the work and make them durable enough to be walked on.
Hilary’s floorcloths would be a fantastic color injection to an otherwise neutral decorating palette; a surprising alternative to more traditional floor coverings. As you cruise around Hilary’s newly revised website, be sure to check out her fun colorform bags too! All pieces can be ordered directly through Hilary's website; custom pieces are also available.

I'm a big fan of Hilary's work. My old neighbor, Deborah, had one of her floor cloths and it held up wonderfully. If you go to Hilary's website ...check out her amazing canvas bags! I've got a couple and they make me feel 'oh so chic!' when I'm shlepping to the grocery store! Psssssst tell her she needs to design a laptop bag next!!
