Scavenger: Vintage Ib Kofod-Larsen Chair for $225
Boston

ibchair.cl.jpg

A seller in Boston is parting with an iconic Ib Kofod-Larsen Danish chair. We've always loved the look of these, and while it may need work to restore the bent plywood back, its a unique vintage chair and they don't come around that often. We also found an Eames seafoam green rocking chair, a vintage Selig Danish Modern recliner (with ottoman), and a 1950's Laurel style table lamp. Check out these and more including an Industrial IBM wall clock for $25 after the jump!

i love love love that we have at here in boston now, but i find it a bit hard to believe that the best scavenger items to be found include two that are already expired...

Hi juliavivian, Jeanine here, I'm sorry about that! I scavenged these last night, because I needed to get out the door early today and couldn't do it this morning like usual. Everything looked fine with the links last night. Scavenger posts are usually put up in the morning because of this very reason though. I'll see if I can work out a morning scavenger time slot from now on, thanks for pointing that out. Since we don't do Scavenger's every day yet this sort of thing can happen and I'll be more careful.

hey, while I've got you-- what have you thought of the scavenger selection so far? We did a few themes: industrial, all sofas, modern etc. Do you like that sort of thing every other week? And what kinds of things is everyone looking for in Boston so that I can help you look?

thanks, and again sorry about that! jeanine

hi jeanine! thank you for trying to resolve the issue :) i very much enjoy the themed scavenger posts - however (and this is just my humble opinion!) i think that since they are only every other week at this point, perhaps covering a more broad spectrum of styles would cater to more boston readers. maybe every few weeks we could have a themed post? or if/when our scavenger posts become more frequent the theme posts would be fantastic! i love them either way, just thinking in terms of logistics.

i don't know about everyone else, but the kind of stuff i look for on craigslist really does range from small odds & ends like kitschy statues and tin-type photos to large pieces of furniture - even if it means upgrading something i may already have. (speaking of which - i have a good question about reupholstery companies in boston - where should i email it to?)

thanks again, jeanine! keep up the great work :)

Hi juliavivian, thanks a bunch for posting back. Thats great feedback, we do Scavenger once a week right now and will aim for more. Maybe a good goal would be 2x a week, one a theme? Its really great to hear what people are looking for! It would also be fun to do some holiday themed ones coming up.

Upholstery questions are really great. I'd love to hear people's sources too.

To send your question in so that we can put it up as a "Good Questions" post, email it with pics(!!) with QUESTIONS in subject line to: boston(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com

I bet lots of other people have that same question, too.

thanks again, really appreciate your feedback!
