Last week we showed you some beautiful examples of books being displayed cover-side-out and industrial designer Izzy Cruz responded, sending us pictures of a great shelving system that he designed for this very purpose.
Covertense by Izzy Cruz
Covertense, which debuted at ICFF 2007, is a storage system that allows for books and magazines to be displayed with their covers showing. The books sit on a narrow shelf and magazines hang from tensile cables below. With several units hung on the wall, it could become a rotating art installation or a single shelf would be great in the kitchen for keeping frequently used cookbooks and magazine recipes handy.
