Darwin BookCase by Malin Källman

This design for a freestanding bookshelf could easily have been inspired by The Amazing Staircase from Veronika & Sebastian's Rooftop Victorian House Tour...

Malin Källman is a young designer from Sweden. The Darwin design would be a fun way to implement a stair case and bookshelf in a small loft space — or any other high-ceilinged space!

Random... but very cute! It would make me want to build a fort around it too lol

What is this for? Considering how much space this thing takes up, it doesn't give you much storage, there seems to be a lot of wasted space underneath the stairs and it is finished poorly.

Comicgeek, it looks like the left side is open, sort-of like a bunk you'd find in a dorm. I'm not a huge fan of the look of Swedish furniture but this would be put to great use in my place. I'd also build my own but anyone who's seen "Stepbrothers" and the part where Will Ferrell jumps on the bunk - yeah, that would happen to me :)
