The South End has become one of Boston's unofficial design hubs, brimming with a strong supply of home goods stores. Devi Home is one of the more memorable and beautiful stores to be included in this hub. You will be welcomed by a nearly intoxicating dose of rich colors and textures...

Devi Home imports furniture, bedding, cushions, curtains, statuary, and accessories from India and China, with an emphasis on selling objects made of reclaimed wood when possible and only using suppliers that comply with international standards for labor.

This store is clearly more than an enterprise; it's a spiritual mission to bring the beauty of Eastern traditions and decor to Boston. The women who own and work in the store were lovely and welcoming when we stopped by, exuding a genuine passion and groundedness about their work and intention to create healing environments for their customers.

There is a wide price point for all categories of goods in the store. We found the silk pillows and floor cushions to be the most alluring and accessible, ranging in price from $31-$60. The curtains are also hard to resist. The rich colors and shiny texture of the pillows and curtains make them a perfect candidate for an affordable, dramatic way to transform your space.

I love that Saffron-colored wall behind that cabinet in the main photo...

Great stuff. Has things I have been looking for. I live in Connecticut and would love to make a trip to Boston to see this. Any idea how the prices are? Don't want to end up going all the way for nothing!
