Q: Earlier this summer I was at the Armory in Somerville checking out some artists during Open Studios. I came across one woman who makes handmade pendant lamps using paper, wooden beads, and string. I loved them, and took a picture before moving on to the next artist booth...
The reason I'm writing to you is that I have no idea who the artist is, but would love to track her down to maybe buy a lamp. I couldn't find her on the Open Studios listings, and have had no luck tracking down a website or any other leads. I'm hoping that someone out there will recognize the lamps from my photo and can pass along her name/contact/website. Thanks. Sent by Greg
Those are AWESOME! I have no idea where they're from/who makes them. I checked etsy but didn't see any. I hope someone knows...

I'd suggest emailing the Somerville Open Studios directors and asking. Surely they would recognize such a unique piece. sos@somervilleopenstudios.org

Oh, I love these! They're called Tesselights, and are made by Christine Price Hamilton - no website, but you can get them at Grand on Somerville Ave. in Union Sq. The guy there told me that they're all handmade and can be ordered custom too.

Was just at Grand today. They have several of these on display. They are definitely Christine Price Hamilton.

Those are mine!! Thanks so much for your interest. My next step was to post on apartment therapy, but you beat me to it. My website christinepricehamilton.com is still in progress, but once it's launched you'll be able to see all of my work there. In the meantime, you can purchase directly through me by emailing me at christinepricehamilton@gmail.com or visit Grand in Union Square where they're on sale. If you don't see exactly what you want, ask the sales rep about placing a custom order.
This made my day! Thanks, guys.

Wow, every day I find a new reason to love Somerville. This city rules.
