Boston.com has a nice little interview with Dutch designer Tord Boontje celebrating the release of his Swarovski crystal chandeliers — the next chapter is what has become a long line of ornamented, fairy tale-esque light fixtures...

The interview is short but sweet as the designer reveals that it was the birth of his daughter in 2000 that sparked his wildly popular nature light fixtures. Boontje may have moved on to crystal but his Midsummer Light (and curtain) in laser-cut, paper-like Tyvek is still our favorite for both its fanciful forms and accessible price point.

I really like the use of the flowered panel in the window.
