Name: Brad
Location: Seattle, Washington
My home is a historic Music Studio Building in downtown Seattle, Washington built in 1912. Originally it was four rooms - entry, bathroom, bedroom/apartment and dance studio.
I moved here from Los Angeles and decided to live in a small, loft space (as long as it had good light - a must in Seattle). I went from a three bedroom townhouse to this one bedroom loft, so multipurpose was key. I downsized, kept an extra bed (which is also my daybed/sofa). My style is modernist meets victorian. I love to mix vintage pieces, to victorian to Eames. To me style comes from what you collect and how you put it together. It isn't a snapshot in time, it should be a snapshot of your personality.
Thanks, Brad!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Great apartment. I love the old-school frosted glass door to the bathroom.
There are no window treatments; hopefully he doesn't ever walk around naked!
What gorgeous windows. The spare style suits them. I think I would want some blinds and/or curtains for light control, though. Also wish there were a floorplan.
Anyone know where can i find those wire dining room chairs? Or something similar?
cliokitty, LOL
Love the apt!
@articulate form
those are knoll bertoia wire side chairs (or possibly knock-offs).
get a pad for them though, or you'll have a sever case of waffle butt
severe*
@cilokitty - hopefully he does! - I WOULD.
Beautiful. I work in this area and had no idea there were such great residential spaces there. I'll have to do a little peeping and see if I can figure out which windows are his.
And I suspect the little dot in front of Ross is me. :o)
SUCH a great apartment, I love that it's whimsical without being feminine. The bold, rich colors imply masculinity yet the design is perfectly androgynous--a really warm place to live for either sex--I want my new apartment to look just like it!!! In fact, quick question about the quilt on the double bed: I love the design, do you remember where you got it?
love it! what an awesome space to call home!
Brad, what a great place! I am also in Seattle and its true about light in this city...its hard to come by, so you lucked out. We'd be good friends...im sure of it. You should probably ask me to coffee. :)
i love that we all know 'cliokitty' has window treatments solely to walk about nude in their apartment... cheers!
awesome space, lucky duck. i want to see more black in it?
love your over-saturated cowhide rug!!!
love, love, love! where did you get the pretty rug?
Makes me curious for more images.
I love you!!!
Love the brass bed! I've never seen anything like it.
This is a very attractive place. How about a House Tour?
