We've had branches on the brain ever since Gregory's House Tour of Laurie's Koreatown home. Laurie's collection of branches (all from hikes around LA) are used to add texture in her home. We love the idea of using branches to bring a touch of natural beauty to an interior--plus they're great for displaying baubles in the bedroom.
A great combo of glittery-glam and rustic charm, branches are one of the easiest (and cheapest) DIY solutions for displaying jewelry. Repurposing a branch (or two) for the bedroom also adds whimsy to your home's most sacred space--something we can definitely get on board with.

Sacred space? Druids unite!
I like this. It adds a certain earthy element that I like but is also functional.

i love using branches in my bedroom. i save some bottles of my favorite beer and use them to display things all over my apartment. in the bedroom, i filled a bottle with different colored beads and stuck in small branches. i hang my favorite earrings on them...it looks adorable!
such a great idea -- I have long ago run out of room in my small jewelry box (which I can't do away with cause it was a gift from my hubby--one of his few successes!). Thanks!
I love this. I just put a branch up in the bathroom with my jewelry on it. Also, I needed extra clothes hanging space, so I brought a larger branch in and hung it from the ceiling. I posted in December about how I used a branch to display my grandmothers Christmas ornaments.

I've noticed that many of the AT:NYC bloggers are using the 1st person singular. Stylebook change? I heartily endorse it.
The branches are nice, if you like that sort of thing. I think the painted ones are the most stylish.
I was thinking about doing something with branches and mini-lights as a decoration for a party I'm having later this month. Anybody done this, and got pics, or know how to do it so it doesn't fall apart? I was thinking about bundling a bunch together and weaving in a string of white lights.....
I like the painted branches, too. I was thinking of doing that as well.
All of them are awesome, especially the last one. Hmmmm...

I have some great branches hung up in a few corners of my loft for when I let my little finches out of their cage for some exercise. they love it.
I'm noticing the trend here is to pair them with whites and greens, maybe in keeping with a nature theme? I wonder how they would do against plums, greys, slates, or lavender. Expecially if the wood was dark, I think you could get a neat romantic atmosphere.
I love that Persian box on the 6th photo.
Actually after seeing those, I can use my father's crystal vase with branches. That will be very vintage. ^^
After seeing this post, I went and did it (a first for me!). Was easy, free, and looks great. Thanks!
