Braylen's World Traveler Nursery

My Room

Name: Braylen Boots (1)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

We created this nursery with the future in mind. We wanted to make sure that it was a space that could grow with Braylen. In general, items with character make us swoon way more than new pieces, so we tried to use as many vintage or DIY pieces as we could.

The room was a bit choppy and plain when we first moved in, so we had our work cut out for us. We had to close off a random door, smooth out the walls, install crown, baseboards, and board and batten. We also tackled resurfacing and painting the built-ins.

The room has a great world-travelers feel to it. All items are used — either from Craigslist, estate sales, antique stores, or furniture auctions.

Thanks, Adri! Readers, see more of Braylen's room including some "before" shots at Dream Book Design.
