Breakfast In a Flash: Two Products That Can Civilize Your Morning Grub!

Mornings are our least favorite time of day. The alarm blares jolting us out of bed and all we can think about is the wonderful sleep we are missing. Breakfast is an important start to any day, but often a chore overlooked in favor of the convenience of a granola bar. Last week we featured a guide to shave 15 minutes off of your morning routine. Below the jump are our two quick suggestions that have made our breakfasts much more pleasurable.

Breakfast time at our house can be a hectic balance of running out the door and getting ready for the day. We have found that not eating a breakfast can put quite the nasty start on our day. In the search for connivence when we can barely function two products have come in very handy: the programmable coffee pot and the Back to Basics Egg and Muffin Toaster/Poacher.

Caffeine:

For years we have relied on the Cuisinart DCC-1200 coffee pots to deliver our morning caffeine jolt. The Cuisinart makes excellent coffee, works reliably, and is easy to program. If you are a tea drinker we have tried and like the Keurig B60. The Keruig is perfect for one or two people who only need a single serving of coffee or tea. Stick with the Cuisinart if you desire (or like us need) significantly more coffee to start your day.

Food:

The Back to Basics Egg and Muffin Toster/Poacher has streamlined our morning significantly. We love eating poached eggs and english muffins in the morning. The Back to Basics device can simultaneously toast whatever bread you can fit into it, poach, scramble, or hard boil eggs, and heat real or pho meat products in a flash. Using the machine is simple and takes so little time you hardly have an excuse to continue eating granola bars for breakfast.

Bottom Line:

While these products are obviously a good fit for us, look around and see what you can do to make your morning meal better.
