Breathing Bud Measures Interior Air Quality

Most people think their home's air is much cleaner than the air outdoors. But the truth is most home air is filled with pollutants and allergens; we discovered how much only after we used a professional grade particle scanner, which reads particles per cubic foot. As G.I. Joe once professed, "knowing is half the battle", an idea applicable to that of air quality. Which is why we like this concept from designers Xinxin Wang and Zhi Chai, the USB powered Breathing Bud...

The rabbit eared accessory takes sample readings of the interior air through its perforated housing and indicates good quality with a blue indicator, while a pink one means you need to get a new HEPA vacuum, air purifier and starting cleaning more regularly. The Breathing Bud also transfers your data and compares it to online figures for comparison so you can determine whether you're living in a dust storm or the clean room at Intel. Hope to see something like this soon on shelves at an affordable price.
