There are people out there who'd turn down a cup of tea. Personal experience has taught us that many tea naysayers are the way they are because they've only ever had a scalding cup of Lipton from the corner bodega. That's like saying you don't like wine after getting smashed on Franzia. Just like a proper Café au Lait or Bloody Mary, how you brew is as important as the leaves you use to make it. But who has the time to research water temperatures for greens as opposed to blacks?
For those of you, who like us, can't be bothered with the intricacies of tea brewing, Breville makes an automatic tea maker. Similar to a coffee machine, you measure out the loose tea into the brewing basket and fill up the appropriate amount of water. Then select the leaf variety on the menu and the brewing strength you'd like.
Once the water in the German-glass vessel reaches the perfect temperature, the brewer automatically lowers the brewing basket into the water and then lifts it out after the steeping time you selected when you chose how strong you wanted your tea.
