We all know that paint can do wonders, but these inspiring shots of bold entryways go way beyond successfully creating a great first impression to the home. As small as some entries are, choosing an over-the-top color, such as the neon pink paint in the Jonathan Berger design, can make for a fun statement when you want to experiment with color.

I love that Design Sponge picture! I don't have space to do something like that in our entry, but it's awesome!
Can anyone recommend a pink paint to match the one in the first photo?
I always love that DesignSponge picture, too. I have an entry way into my split level with 20 foot ceilings. I really want to make a cool statement in that space but am so afraid to go over the top in a bad way. Maybe I'll collect enough gusto to do it before spring.

Any thoughts on how far a console table should jut out in an entryway? We have an extremely long entry and putting a console table right in the hall seems to cut off access, but putting it toward the end where it opens up seems to render it useless as an actual entryway piece. We wouldn't be putting keys or anything on it, though. It would be decorative.
to Pi - usually you need to leave 30inches in a narrow hallway for easy movement. So if your space is 40inches wide - think of a very narrow 10" shelf that you could use for placing keys etc. I actually have a 30" hallway, so could not place anything in it, but one always needs a place to leave keys etc as we enter the apt. So I found these 3inch shelves from Pottery Barn that are used for displaying photos, and places some bamboo boxes from the container store (the shelf and the boxes are the same depth (3") so they look perfect and we drop all the small stuff when we enter the apt.
Really beautiful pic's. I think going bold can also backfire and AT shows how beautiful taking a risk can be. I love the bright yellow!
Yikes! Picture #1 hurts my eyes!
LOVE the wallpaper in Picture #2! what a statement.
I also love the wallpaper in picture #2. Farrow and Ball Silvergate pattern, a mere $275 per roll, with a 3 roll minimum order. Yikes! Now I'm sorta glad hubby says our walls are too textured for wallpaper.
