Quilts and Afghans - Isn't that what Grandma's are for?
So this quilt isn't colorful at all --it's snow white-- but the pattern is great and I think it would be a nice counterpoint to other colorful bedding like sheets, pillows, etc. It's the Origami Quilt from Garnet Hill, on sale for $199-$249.
I have to plug my mom: <A HREF="redrabbitquilting.homestead.com">Red Rabbit Quilting</A>
Her work is mostly traditional/country since that's her style, but she's done a couple great contemporary quilts for me.
I was going to say, my source for colorful quilts is my grandma. ;) I have two from her: a twin-sized one that I got for my 14th birthday, and a throw-sized one that I got sometime later.
At some point, I'd like to take up this hobby myself.
My favorite: tinkquilts
She has an Etsy shop here:

Bed, Bath & Beyond has some colorful modern quilts in the $40 to $60 price range. I would buy one except I hate sleeping under quilts, they are too heavy, but not warm enough.
