We personally tend to equate neutrals with restfulness, but we admire people who are able to go BOLD in the bedroom. If there's any place in the home where expressing your individual style is important, it should be the room where you spend the most time.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Wow. I haven't gotten my bed to look that good since boot camp! Nice first room. Minimalism doesn't have to be white.
I would like to see some more pictures of colorful walls in houses with natural woodwork. Some mid century houses, like mine, have mahogany woodwork. It is tough to find color that accentuates the woodwork. thanks.
I went with Benjamin Moore's blue spa (spa blue? I can never remember) aura formula in my bedroom. It looks a lot like the Ralph Lauren blue there. We love it. The rest of the room is very minimalist - platform bed and white trim.
I love these colors, but I think some are a bit bright for a bedroom. I don't think I would be able to shut my brain down if I was sleeping with 'flying lizard' walls :)
Love 1, 3, and 5
My bedroom is the same color as that first picture and I adore it, it is so serene! I have been looking for some suitably serene bedlinens if anyone could recommend a source - the ones in the first pic seem to go beyond serene to a little boring.
The first photo tugs at my heartstrings - the combo of the dormered ceiling and sky blue is so nice.
I love the first room with the blue walls. What is used as the headboard for that bed?
I have a color that is both bright and serene at the same time, Benjamin Moore's Summer Lime--a toned down version of #2 and #8. It is really quite restful to stare at it before bed.
Yeah, that first photo is something. Totally sleep-worthy.
"What is used as the headboard for that bed?"
Looks like a slab of plywood or chipboard bolted to the wall, doesn't it?
I love so many of them! Especially the purple room, and of course I always love anything Emery et Cie.
I love color!! These are nice. :)
One of my new bedroom's walls will be very similar to "Benjamin Moore Pottery Barn Serenata No. AF-535" and I can't wait to see how it will look with my stuff. :)
My bedroom is the exact same color as that first room! I love it, and while it's bright, my brown and off white curtains and bedspread really tone it down. In ambient light, it's actually quite soothing.
we have a color that's very similar to the first photo and we love it! it's not in our bedroom and we don't know what the color actually is because we got it from a free paint bin. i need to compare it to the shades of blue that are discussed in this topic to see if I should get something similar for our bedroom!
I agree. The first room does look computer generated.
I have always thought bedroom walls were just *supposed* to be some variation of sky blue.
Does anyone know where the platform bed in the 3rd picture comes from?
Anyone know what that chair is? love it!
