Please go to our new link for Brocade Home.

A new tree grows in furniture land. Informed by Richele over at ATLA, we just discovered that after starting up the stunningly successful West Elm, Lisa Versacio has jumped ship to start up Brocade Home for the Restoration Hardware empire. This could be the hottest second act in the shelter business this decade. If she succeeds, consider her a shoe in to bring back the NY Giants next season.

Brocade Home LOOKS a lot like Anthropologie crossed with Restoration Hardware. Think feminine, think romantic, think deep muted colors and curly furniture that could have been your great grandmother's. As they say: "It's the feminine home for the 21st century."
Right now there is only a catalog and it looks like it is filled with an edited line of furnishings and a good number of accessories and lighting. No website. No Store. Check it out and give us the first reviews.

I just received this catalogue in the mail and was wondering who was behind it, and Resto makes sense.
I cannot buy a piece of furniture without sitting on it, but the sectional looks stunning, tho not too comfy/cozy.
Best of luck to them, as that will prompt them to open a store hopefully. I wonder why the fact that Resto is behind them is such a mystery...that fact tells me that they are for real and know what they're doing. Hmmm...interesting, no?
The furniture looks great, but a word of caution: I ordered a silhouette bed frame and open carved headboard. The bed frame arrived (it's all self assembly) after a month, but the headboard did not come for a further 7 weeks despite the fact that I was told at the time of order that they would arrive at the same time. When the headboard did arrive, the holes for assembly did not line up with the bed frame meaning it could not be put yp. I am still waiting for Brocade to resolve this issue, and looking at a large cardboard box that's dominating my bedroom. Not exactly the decorative touch I was hoping for. Oh, and one last thing, when they say they'er going to call you back, they're not.
BEWARE OF BROCADE
THEY ARE HELL TO ORDER FROM AND 5 OUT OF THE 6 ORDERS I PLACED CAME BROKEN!!! I HAD TO RETURN THE SAME DRESSER TWICE AND ON THE THIRD ATTEMPT NOT ONLY WAS BROCADE OUT OF STOCK THE BUT THE ITEM WAS DISCONTINUED!! TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE I ALREADY OWNED SOME OF THE FURNITURE AND NOW MY ROOM WILL BE INCOMPLETE
I WAS ALSO DISTURBED WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE FURNITURE IS ALL MADE IN VIETNAM!!! WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE!!!
THIS COMPANY LOOKS LOVELY AND FANCY FROM FARAWAY BUT ASIDE FROM THE NICE CATALOG.... THERE ISN'T MUCH LEFT
BROCADE IS IKEA WITH WORSE QUALITY...A HEADACHE AND NIGHTMARE
I also have an unfortunate experience with an order placed with Brocade Home. The customer service is less than stellar and even non-responsive over the past two days. Not only did they charged my credit card twice in error but I have yet to recieve my $1200 order that was due over a week ago because it was delivered to the wrong place last week. I realize that may be the shipper's error but Brocade Home is the one who needs to take action! Too bad I really want what I ordered...otherwise I'd cancel it altogether!
Quality is atrocious, as is customer service. Charming and fanciful as their stuff looks, Brocade Home is a chimera. It's all set dressing; designed, styled, lit and photographed to look real. When it arrives (if, when & occasionally broken) the construction and fabrics are incredibly shoddy. No wonder the store exists only in cyberspace. RH is the parent company and appeals should be directed to them, since the Brocade seems to be run by blase teens.
i just went on their site today and it's shut down due to the tremendous response to their sale. uhh ok...
I too having been having issues with Brocade Home over the last 5 weeks and wanted to share what I've learned:
Brocade Home is being "phased out" according to the person I got in touch with at Restoration Hardware. Prior to taking the site down they had a 50% off sale goods promotion AND THEN decided to move warehouses. I guess they are consolidating for a outlet? The new warehouse is in Ohio and it's taken 5 weeks for the rug I ordered to be unpacked and prepared for shipment.
The whole thing is a disaster. What kind of retailer has a 50% off sale goods promotion and then moves warehouses? The 'service' I've received has been horrid. Blatant lies from customer service at BH before they closed shop, and the RH customer service dept can't do much to help at this point.
After reading about the quality issues here I'm giving them until the end of the week to receive my order, if not i'll depute the charge and move on.
just an update - Restoration Hardware informed me today that they can't fill my order.
I always loved the Brocade Home product....I am a designer and love the modern twist on the traditional. HOWEVER....I placed an order with them back in July and it has been pure hell.
After a long wait, we finally received PART of my order, but they had sent the king bed I ordered with QUEEN canopy rails, which of course were too short. When we tried to contact Brocade, the web site had closed and when we called, we got an answering machine saying to leave a message. But when we tried to leave a message, the recording said that the mailbox was full so we couldn't even do that. Even with Brocade going out of business, how could Restoration Hardware let one of their divisions end business in this manner? They should have at least taken care of customers who had already placed orders! Anyway, we ended up having to contact Restoration, but they told us they couldn't send us the correct canopy rails. So now we're stuck with half of a bed! And it's not like we can simply use the bed as a four-poster, because there is exposed hardware at the top of the posts where the canopy is supposed to attach! Did anyone out there receive their queen bed with king canopy rails? If so, I have your queen rails and you have my king rails!
Also, they are now telling me I will not be receiving the duvet I ordered, and yet I received a few of the matching pillows, so I'm stuck with these "Parisian Blue" pillows (purplish-blue) with nothing to match. I guess I'll have to find a solid silver/pewter duvet to put with them, although at this point, I feel like throwing the damn things out the door!
i HATE the low chandeliers
Unlike Anthropologie who will return everything without a time limit, Brocade Home does not return at all if it's on sale. I bought window panels that looked blue on my monitor, even spoke with a person on line, never saw a "final sale" with the window treatment page (because there isn't one). When they arrived greyish-green they emailed me back to say "Our policy states clearly final sale".
the focus, I also had the same experience as you! Here is what I wrote on AT SF's recent post on Brocade Home's current sale. Please help spread the word!
"Just wanted to alert readers that Brocade Home has a lot of complaints and custemer service issues:

After this post, I got so excited that I ordered the lace print duvet (bottom right image) right away and was thrilled at the price. I received the package, but the colors did not look like ANYTHING on the website picture! The product I received is a lilac purple lace print on a tan background, not a light/periwinkle blue lace print against white background.
I emailed and called them because I thought they might have sent the wrong item, but apparently not ("have not had prior complaints that this does not look like what is shown on the web site"). It's non-refundable because it was on sale but this is false advertising of a product and I wasted $40. I'll be filing a BBB complaint soon.
I love your website, AT, but I think this company has sketchy business practices as evidenced by my experience and others, and should not be promoted.
If anyone wants a never opened lace print duvet cover in lilac purple and tan, please let me know and I'll be sure to give you all the specs. Otherwise it's off to Craigslist. :( "
I ordered a barstool and a chair during the 50%-70% off sale. They took awhile to be shipped out but customer service was pretty clear that the warehouse was a little crazy and they had no definite date when they'd be shipped out. After about 3 weeks, they showed up in great condition.
The furniture isn't heirloom quality by any means, but it's solid and unique, I'll keep ordering from them.
Especially if they have one of those sales again.
Just wanted to put this out there....Element Custom Woodwork based in Charlotte, NC can do the same pieces as Brocade Home for a lesser price! Element can even make custom sizes. It's a newer business but Element customer satisfaction is very high. Check out the blog at
