Are you looking for something to do this weekend. Last Sunday, we headed out to Dumbo to check out the latest incarnation of the Brooklyn Flea — a pop-up shop in Dumbo. The flea will be held for the next eleven weekends throughout the winter on Saturdays and Sundays. The offerings are strictly vintage, and each weekend day there are different vendors, so you can show up every weekend and see new things each time.

frames in every size and shape in a variety of prices.

all styles of clocks from Clinton Hill Clocks

Reupholstered vintage furniture from Chairloom.
We stuck to the housewares offering, but there were a lot of tempting vintage clothes and jewelry as well. The list of vendors for each weekend is posted the Friday before the flea on the Brooklyn Flea blog. Really, our only complaint is that we miss those Red Hook food vendors!

i miss all the free samples lol
Wish I could go......looks like it be fun.
The most agonising thing about the internet is seeing pictures of a flea market in another country and knowing you can't get there in time to buy the things you can see in the pictures - argh!!
That yellow enamel cookware on the left of the first picture would look great against the red walls of my kitchen and the frilly white framed mirror in the fourth picture would be perfect for the bedroom re-vamp I'm currently tackling.
I've enjoyed the Brooklyn Flea so much when it was stationed in the warm weather months in Fort Greene. I look forward to checking out this cold weather outpost. The winter always feels dreary here in NYC, so it is a great addition to the weekend schedule. Plus, one could make a day of it by dropping by Jacques Torres for some hot chocolate too. How perfect.
