While matte black may be the upcoming color trend for the tech items themselves, it seems accessory makers may be heading towards a more retro palette, specifically using brown and black leather. Perhaps inspired by the craftsmanship and positive aging properties of leather in an era where tech seems to encourage such wasteful purchases of replacement devices every few years, these beautifully hand-made accessories are guaranteed to make you drool.

From left to right:

  1. Olympus E-P1 EP1 Pen Leather Half Case (Brown): Usually found on eBay for about $60.
  2. Want Organic Tech Accessories at J. Crew Messenger Bag: Starts at $275, with a //www.jcrew.com/mens_category/accessories/necessaryluxuries/PRDOVR~23019/99101925357/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~0~15~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~want/23019.jsp">matching iPhone case in black canvas with brown leather strap.
  3. Hard Graft 2Unfold Laptop Bags: The $500 reflect the handmade Italian craftsmanship. Fits 13", 15" and 17" laptops in various configurations.
  4. HASSO Laptop Cases: A premium grade, tech-lovers backpack, with sleeves for everything from your smartphone to a tablet computer. They're big and square, but that's their appeal. Prices TBA (request a quote here)

Bonus palette: Here's another ongoing color and material trend: felt wool and leather. Mmm... looks good! But seriously, we think this drool inducing mix of quality accessories and fantastic tech needs to stop before all our funds are depleted. Either that, or they need to stop charging triple digits for these goodies.
