Our friends at Brownstoner recently launched a new feature at the site called The Insider, and it's where blogger Cara Greenberg publishes her tours of Brooklyn homes.
Lauren Stern and Ori Schwartz have occupied their Carroll Gardens Summit Street row house apartment for four years, and in that time they've obtained furnishings and decor that are a mix of high and low, old and new. The goal is not to have anything match perfectly, but to feel like a collection of beloved objects found over time. The central railroaded room is set up for TV viewing - an activity where dim light is preferred anyway. Interior windows allow sunlight to flow throughout the space, and curtains maintain privacy in the bedroom outfitted with a luxurious custom-designed and upholstered headboard.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Nearly perfect. I am in love with the coffee table.
LOVE this house, and the upholstered furniture is gorgeous!
Those floral chairs are amazing.
Does anyone know the name for the floral fabric on the chairs?
Stunning.
Very pretty and peaceful.
Soo perfect!!
Such a calming environment! I just want to curl up here and unwind.
Sidenote: I believe my Mother has one of those patterned chairs, if there the ones from Anthropology. She had never even heard of that store...just walked into one one day and was smitten with that chair! Bought it right off the floor! LOL
Adorable. Love the headboard.
where can I get that coffee table?
I love the Transom window.
The curtains on the inside of the windows is a little strange... wish they'd put those on the outside.
Other than that, it's absolutely charming!
