Color Inspiration: Our goal was to create a space that is both bright and soothing, girly but not fussy. B said she wanted a princess room, but I didn't want to go for the typical pink theme. When I saw Benjamin Moore's "Fairy Tale Blue," I knew that it was the perfect backdrop color&hellip

Color Inspiration continued: ...After that, it was just a matter of integrating elements we really love: colorful fabrics, the tree mural, owls, books, and her favorite toys. A lot of the pieces in her room are DIY projects or thrift-store finds. We kept it simple and clean...leaving plenty of room for her imagination.

Tip for Using Color: I focused on a few dominant colors and used them in at least 3 different places to give the room a cohesive look. In the past, I've been more timid with my color choices, but this time I went for the boldest color on the paint chip, and it paid off.

Colors Used: Benjamin Moore "Fairy Tale Blue," white, lime green, yellow/gold, orange
