Before you know it, Memorial Day will be here and the season of pool parties, cookouts, and bar-b-cues will start. In case you're outfitting a deck, patio, or rooftop garden for a party soon, we've rounded up a few good sources for inexpensive outdoor furniture.

New Furniture

A good source for modern outdoor furniture, CB2 has stores across the country and they post all their inventory online. The $70 Rex Chair is a nice basic design made of an aluminum frame and faux wicker.

They have a good selection of metal, plastic, and wicker basics, and we like the fact that they post customer reviews of products on their site. Shown left is the Red Bistro Set for $80.

Every summer, they have a ton of discounted wood and metal patio furniture, and they always bring back their popular line of inexpensive Adirondack chairs. This is the Red Adirondack Rocking Chair, $150.

This online store is part of the CSN chain, and they have a huge selection of outdoor furniture. Not all of it is cheap, but you can find good deals if you look around. The Eucalyptus 5-piece folding patio set, shown left, is $450.

Another chain store with nice modern basics, West Elm brings in a ton of outdoor furniture in the spring and summer months. We like the new Barrow Bar Cart, shown left and priced at $200.

It's rare that IKEA doesn't make one of our budget resource lists, simply because they're so big, so affordable, and their stuff tends to look good. These red and blue Blanko stools are new this year, $10 each.

Vintage Furniture

Antique stores are always a good place to look for patio and deck furniture. Los Angeles-based TINI has a large rotating inventory of reasonably priced modern designs—we found 3 Air Chairs by Jasper Morrison for $100 each, a little less than you'd pay to buy them new.

This online store carries a mix of vintage pieces and mid-century knock-offs for reasonable prices. This Modern Tubular Indoor/Outdoor Chair comes from their vintage inventory and it's priced at $135.

Any flea market is likely to have outdoor furniture, since spring and summer are their peak months. Brooklyn Flea is an Apartment Therapy favorite, but you can also click here to find more good flea markets across the country.

A good source for vintage pieces at good prices, craigslist rarely fails to deliver unique stuff if you keep an eye out. On the list of easy-to-find secondhand furniture: Adirondack Chairs, vintage metal chairs, and used stuff from big stores like IKEA, Room & Board, or West Elm.
