Are you thinking about the holiday season yet? It's almost gift giving time and if you're like me you always have these grand plans of making everyone everything and then ten days before Christmas you panic and buy everyone soap and Hot Wheels. Not this year, someone is getting this amazing DIY dollhouse. That's right... there are plans to make it yourself. Now where's my hammer?
We stopped in at Ana White's corner of the universe which is always ridiculously full of projects and plans to help you build practically anything. She's in the process of building a house for her Mother and Mother-In-Law (both by hand), but she still had time to make a dollhouse. That right there is what you call putting Martha Stewart to shame.
The dollhouse is easily accessible from two sides and is sure to be a ton of fun, plus the supply list isn't lengthy. The house however, is huge. It's intended for 12" dolls to play freely with, and rolls through doorways for easy travel through playrooms and bedrooms. She'll be adding furniture plans as the season goes on, so make sure to check out all the plans for the house and get started this weekend, over at Ana White Homemaker.

White Enamel Flatwa...
I love the idea of a 2-sided dollhouse... I had two sisters and there was no way we would all fit in front of our one (still large) dollhouse. We ended up building make-shift houses in all corners of our bedroom.
We received the commercial version of this for Christmas last year. It is nice for more than one child to play with at a time. I can see how this would be a very simple diy project. The only downside is that the house is huge! Our home is large enough to accommodate it, but it does kind of take over the room.
