A little preparation can save the day, especially when it comes to stains. With holiday meals on the horizon, the editors at Martha Stewart Living have a recipe for a DIY stain removal kit to keep at the ready in case of errant gravy and spilled wine:
Use travel sized bottles to keep stain removal solutions such as vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and dishwashing liquid easily accessible and tucked away in the dining room. Toss in a few cotton swabs, a toothbrush, and a clean white cloth, and you'll be prepared to tackle most any stain.
