Although the idea of purchasing furniture from an artisan is high on everyone's list, it might not be in the cards budget wise. Recently we spied this handmade dining room table that's industrial, ridiculously large and perfect for a large family and all their craft projects. Best of all, you can make one for your own home for just under $200!

The household of Gabrielle Blair (better known as Design Mom) is a busy one. It's an extremely active household with a whole crew of kids running around and busy parents.

They were looking for a table large enough to seat the family as well as strong enough to handle any project they might have to throw at it. They settled on a metal and wood design that comes in just under the $200 mark. Not bad for a 107" table huh?

The construction is relatively simple as long as you have a space large enough to build it. All the supplies come straight from the hardware store with the exception of the large pieces of sheet metal, which came from a local heating and air conditioning service. You will need an extra set of hands (or two) and a few days to complete it, but the results are stunning and will only continue to age with beauty over the years.
