Novelist Orhan Pamuk used most of his Nobel Prize money to build the recently opened Museum of Innocence in Istanbul. The museum is a physical embodiment of his recent novel by the same name. Flavorwire pulled together some other buildings inspired by famous books.
My favorite is The Hobbit Motel, inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, located in Waitomo, New Zealand (shown in Image 2). Image 1 is The Museum of Innocence, inspired by Orhan Pamuk's The Museum of Innocence. Image 3 is El Castell, inspired by Franz Kafka's The Castle.
