Decidedly Un-White: 14 Warm Wood Kitchens When we watch home design shows, we're always struck by how many people say, "Oooh, I love the dark wood kitchen cabinets." Usually, they're cherry, and frankly, we'd take bright and white over cherry any day.
Not-Boring Beige Kitchens We can think of no better place than the kitchen for such relaxing, monocolor tones. With all of the hubbub that we encounter in our own home kitchen, it could definitely use a little counterbalance of serenity!
2011 Calendar Roundup: Colorful Tea Towels! We're for anything that does double or triple duty in the kitchen and the tea towel calendar does just that: a practical calendar, a piece of art and, when the year is done, a mighty fine dish cloth! Here's a few that have caught our eye so far for 2011.
Creating a Día de los Muertos Altar Special altars or ofrendas are created for Día de los Muertos. They usually have a picture of the deceased, brightly colored paper festoons with cut-out designs, and candles and brightly colored flowers, often marigolds.
