Bump beds are hand finished and unpainted, and the shapes are just perfect for both nurseries and Big Kid rooms. Simple lines and clever ideas set them apart. That bed, above, is the sleigh bed. It comes in several different lengths and widths and ranges from £275 to £299. What makes it so special though, is how versatile it is.The sleigh bed stacks into a bunk bed. £585 to £599, ladder is an extra £55.
We like the high sides, which make these cozy, both bunked and unbunked, and we like that we can finish it ourselves, so that we can customize it any way we wish. A lot of stackable bunk beds look a bit awkward - you can tell which is the 'real' bed and which is the add-on, but with the symmetry in Bump beds, you can easily stack and unstack these.
Bump is also doing clever things with the trundle, which is a great way to let friends sleep over in rooms too small for two twin beds. And if you don't want a trundle bed, Bump also has a trundle storage option.
Do we feel a little guilty showing off a bed that our American readers can't purchase? A little. But we think that Bump's work is inspirational, and we hope that soon it will be available on both sides of the Atlantic.
