Bundle: Cloth Diapers and Green Gear

I am coveting those Olive Jane covers (the orange flower and the zigzag), but they are so price-y. Also love the butterfly happy heiny--possibly enough to give up my devotion to bumgenius. Love that they are trying to make cloth diapering even more ecofriendly.

Those diapers are adorable. I never thought I'd say this but diapering feels sorta luxurious using Bundle products.

I haven't used the diaper service though...does every diaper package actually come with that cute personalized tag?

You've obviously never come across fuzbaby and sister site, firefly diapers (home of the diaper rainbows). Fuzbaby, in my opinion, takes the cake for diaper art. (yes, art).

There are more fabulous cloth diaper stores than you can shake a stick at, although many of the WAHMs making cloth diapers do not stick with it long term, and many have been driven out of the business.

(my favourites were driven out of the business by the owner of fuzzibunz, who somehow managed to patent the concept of a pocket diaper, and then sent WAHMs letters that they couldn't make and sell them unless they paid her a fee -- even if the diapers were very different from the fuzzibunz design -- hence I am not a fan of the latter)

Absolutely, yea for cloth! That diaper is really cute. Actually I checked the website and they are all cute! But i am getting one of those wet bags for my friend who just had a baby.

Bundle. It is cute and they have cute stuff. Of course they are not the only place to buy diapers!!! No one said it was, but come on, the point is to shine the spotlight on this darling diaper site that also provides good old fashioned diaper delivery service. Good for them. Thanks for telling us about Bundle.

The Union of Concerned Scientists looked at the cloth/disposable diaper issue. They determined that the whole thing was a wash (heh heh) because while disposables take up landfill space and use paper and plastic in their construction, cloth diapers were primarily made from cotton, an incredibly water-and-herbicide-thirsty crop and require washing, which takes plenty of water.

They recommended cloth diapers for areas which have more water and less landfill space (i.e., New York) and disposables for areas with more empty space and less water (i.e., California.)

Thank goodness I live in a no-water zone then!! (Spain) Just the thought of washing cloth diapers.... ugh
