This house is all business in the front, party in the back. Located in London and renovated by Studio MG Architects, the front facade is plain brick with Georgian windows, while the back opens up into an airy modern space. We love that the architects created a modern space from an older building...

This 4-bedroom house is on the market right now, but it's pretty far out of our reach at 1.75 million Euros. Still doesn't heart to ogle a little eye candy now and then, right? For more photos and information, see the Modern House Estate Agents.

Hmm... I dunno...
I really like the front, the brickwork is amazing and the wooden paneling works wonderfully (although I probably would've liked for the doors to be just a smidgen darker to stand out).
However, the back end... I don't like that at all. The only feeling it conveys for me is sterility. I understand it's not currently inhabited? Maybe if it was furnished and decorated with things the people living there liked it might speak to me, but as is, no.
I wonder how romantic it is up there on that nice deck with those two huge stadium lights shining on your face.

Wooo-hooo!
Thanks for this - we're thinking of extending so love seeing examples of where it's been done.
Though I have to point out, the estate agent website states this is for sale for £1.75 million, not euros. That converts to 1,969,739.01 euros, apparently.
icanhaz?
That looks like a 30's , 40's or 50's extension remodeled and redecorated to me.
Nice, but not all that exceptional. Especially for London.
I love this house.... and the way the back of the house is open to all that light and fresh air....Gorgeous!
I love it. Streamline Moderne-y makes me happ-y.
Ah, it's all my lego-Corbu dreams come true...
Reminds me a little of John Pawson's renovation of his London Victorian. Dolled up on the outside, sleek and minimal on the inside.
