Abbie, who blogs with her sister Ellie at Bright Eyes + Blue Eyes, made this fluttering butterfly collage with her daughter. Instead of just using scrap or craft paper, her daughter got hands on painting the paper to form the butterflies. Voila...a beautiful butterfly collage she can be so proud of.
Head over to Bright Eyes + Blue Eyes for the instructions and, as a special bonus, a short video of her adorable daughter ("Pumpkin") showing off her artwork.
Thanks Abbie!

This is beautiful. My daughter would love this. I'll try it with her this weekend.
especially love the canvas color!
Oh my, I love this! If I had a girl I think I'd copy it exactly, but since I don't, I'll try a variation.
Love that you used that Martha Stewart punch, I always swoon over those but have never thought of a way to get my money's worth out of any of them but tthe circle. I'm now excited to go check out all the different one's they have!
This is an awesome project. I can't wait to do it with my special needs students. I think the will love it.
@LinnyBee - do you have a Michael's store near you? They carry Martha Stewart paper punches. At my local store, I can sometimes use a 40% off coupon for one item.
@laura lee - one of my favorite colors in the world!
Glad you like the collage idea. Send me a link/blog comment if you ever try the project!
