Two lovely Scandinavian art sources- Fine Little Day and Nordic Art Collective- have announced that they are now donating money from the sale of their prints to help children suffering in Syria. What better time to buy a darling work of art for a child you love?
Nordic Design Collective has issued a statement that I ran through Google Translator, so bear with me: "I am sorry too much as I watch the news. But when it comes to children who get into trouble, I get an extra large lump in my stomach. Help me help the children in Syria. By purchasing one of these four illustrations go all profits to Save the Children's work in Syria." All profits! That's great. You can pick (1) Ugglekram or (2) Anatomiskt Hjärta shown above, but it appears Gaddan & Råkan are sold out (please correct me if I'm wrong!).
Fine Little Day announced, "For every poster sold during the coming month $5 / €4 / 35 kr will go to Save the Children." She has lots of cute posters, including (3) Up, (4) Pirum Parum, and (5) Krakatoa.
I must admit to knowing very little about Save The Children. Their Syrian Emergency Response page is here, but please share if you have any insight, or know of other worthy organizations having similar fundraisers- especially if art is involved!

Apparently you cannot purchase from the US. I tried to purchase from the Nordic Design Collective as soon as I saw this post but there is no country option for the US, only Sweden:( I really wanted to purchase the heart ink but can't.
Great art! The text translates more exactly to something like this(I'm Swedish):
"I get sad by so many things I see on the news. But when it comes to children getting hurt I get an extra big lump in my stomach. Help me help the children in Syria. By purchasing one of these four illustrations the whole profit goes to Save the children's work in Syria(the text isn't grammatically correct from the start)."
Unfortunately the Nordic Design Collective doesn't ship outside of Sweden..

Yes, I just confirmed that myself. I read their FAQ page:
Do you ship to countries other than Sweden?
Unfortunately we lack the means to do so today.
You can still buy her paintings from Etsy.com, however I'm not sure it the profit will go to the Save the Children then. Rook and Pike in hat are still available.

If you want to help the children, donate to a responsible nonprofit that does accept donations from the US. And then buy the print from etsy, if that was the selling point.
Thank you S.Field!!! Love you!!! I was so sad that I couldn't purchase the artwork and have been thinking about it all morning. Yay!!
I'd like to buy the heart print too... bummer.
Ah, sorry guys! I got too excited to read the fine print- a common problem in my life.

Now it should be possible to order outside Sweden :)
Tovalisa!
Det går fortfarande inte att beställa till nåt annat land, men det blev en bra översättning. :) Går det att beställa dina illustrationer till utlandet på något annat sätt än genom nordic design collective?
Kram Ida
Ursäkta skrev fel.. Tovelisa.. ;)
To clarify Tovelisas link above: you will still not get the option to choose another country than Sweden in the checkout, but it is ok to place the order anyway. Using the link above, shipping costs to the US is included.
I also want to thank you for your interest in Nordic Design Collective. We are working on being able to ship abroad and hope to be able to do that soon. We are actually in the middle of a equity crowdfunding campaign, and if you or anybody else you know would be interested in learning more, please go to http://www.fundedbyme.com/equity/start-up/8/.
If you want to receive information on when we are able to ship international, please sign up here to be the first to know: http://eepurl.com/ppXy5
You can also find my illustrations at Etsy :)
