If there's one thing we love it's handmade goods for our children's spaces, but more than that, we love artisans who are willing to keep on giving. Kathy Beymer is the woman behind these adorable chalkboard pillows and aside from being able to buy them she's also shared a tutorial with us for those wanting to make their own. How awesome is that?!

We've featured Kathy's work in the past with these diy napkin rings, Polaroid wreath, and canning labels, so she's no stranger to our love for all things diy.

Kathy sells these fun pillows over at Uncommon Goods for $48/each and although that's a fabulous price for handmade artisan goods, she knows there are those of us who will end up creating them on our own. there's flattery in reproduction and although we strongly urge you to purchase one in support of her work, she's shared a tutorial for those looking for less pricey options.

It takes you through the process, step by step and she even shares the roots of how she was making her designs before the invention of chalkboard fabric (which we had no idea even existed... where have we been?!). DIY or Buy, the choice is yours, but either way, we strongly suggest you do one or the other or even both!

Thanks Kathy!
