With the beginning of the end of each summer season we start to get restless. Ingrained in us permanently is the shuffle of things for back to school season, even if it's been years since we've seen the inside of a classroom. It's like all of a sudden we need a new desk, chair, monitor, something — anything! But instead of heading to retail stores, we've been watching government auctions instead!
Govdeals.com is a site that lists all items being auctioned off by the government, state, federal and school facilities all across the country. Sometimes there might not be a thing, but more often than not, there's beautiful heavy tables, amazing vintage chairs and even some old gear to tinker around with. There's just so much to go through it's rather ridiculous, but we've pictured a few of our favorite finds above.
Is there anything good in your area? Check out Govdeals.com and leave us a link below if you find anything super awesome!

Orange County has some really cool art, and Quartzsite, AZ has farm equipment. I know....Farm equipment in Quartzsite? Shocking!
Also check with your local University. UNT in Denton Texas has a surplus office that has 2 days a week open to the public. You can, at times, find all sorts of interesting treasures for almost nothing.
Everything from industrial quality drafting tables, solid office furniture, filing cabinets, av equipment, and such crazy things as working metal detectors.
