Thank goodness for Anthropologie, and their constant influx of beautiful products that so many people drool over. Caitlin over at Desert Domicile loved their Mango Wood Slice Mirror and was inspired to try a DIY version for herself, without the $58 price tag. With some clever thrifting and a few craft supplies, she made a really cute (and colorful) mirror that rivals the original — for only $5.79.
For this project, Caitlin found a nut bowl at a thrift store, bought a basic round mirror from Joann's for 79 cents, and repurposed her Grandmother's woven belt — and here is the final result. If you don't have a similar strap, an old leather belt would work really well.
You can see how she did it, step by step, over at Desert Domicile.
Thanks for sharing Caitlin, and nice job!
