Buy or DIY: Wood Block Photo Holder

Sometimes the simplest things in life are the most beautiful, like these wood block photo holders. Nothing more than pieces of wood with slits on top, they serve as miniature stands for the real works of art: your photos.

You can buy these photo holders from Artifact Uprising, which offers a set of 12 Polaroid-esque prints (from your own collection) with every wood block order. The wood block holds all 12 prints at a time, so you can rotate the photos every day or every week to fit your mood.

Or, you can make your own! Christine, over at Design For Mankind, made a great version using some wood blocks and just a saw. She even gave hers a color dye bath, for an ombre effect.
