One of the more striking eco products nominated for Interior Design's recent Best of Year Awards was this line of three-dimensional wall tiles from Belgian company Buzzispace. Called BuzziSkin, the tiles are made from eco-felt, a 100 percent recycled PET material.
Self-adhesive BuzziSkin tiles come in a variety of colors and modular square or rectangle shapes. In addition to providing a warm, textured look, the tiles also absorb sound, making them useful for both home and office applications.
Each tile costs about $150 and can be purchased online from Buzzistore (European delivery only) or through D'apostrophe in New York.

Nomade Express Slee...
Actually, I think that those dark grey ones could be the most versatile, and could be used even in the more traditional-looking settings, but also because of the very slight motliness which might not quite show wear as quickly.
I love these, problem is I love all the colors and would need to order all of them, at $150 each that's a lot of money. But I would sure like to give them a test drive.
In the first picture it looks a little bit like a padded cell in an asylum. Except for the colors.
That's always my grouse with 'green' products. I'm all for them - but they're always so expensive - how will they ever become mainstream. And if they don't become mainstream - they will never create change. And that is the need right? Or are manufacturers just jumping on the 'green' bandwagon - 'cos it's 'cool'/'in'?
I'm talking about the cost - because - i'm in India and a single tile would cost as much as a decent cell phone. How could i ever consider this product?
