We know, it's a little unkind to post these mouthwatering photos around breakfast time when you should be thinking about bran muffins and egg scrambles. Lyndsay Sung of Vancouver-based Coco Cake can seemingly make a cake inspired by anything and in honor of Book Week at Ohdeedoh we wanted to show you some of her literary-based creations.
You may not be able to execute these ideas with the same skill and talent as Lindsay, but her wonderful confectionery creations may give you some ideas about how to pay tribute to your child's favorite book through baking.
• Richard Scarry-inspired sneaker car cake
• Where the Wild Things Are cake and cupcakes (Maurice Sendak)
• Hungry Caterpillar (Eric Carle) cupcakes
• Miffy (Dick Bruna) cake
• Goodnight, Owl (Pat Hutchins) cake
Vancouver-area readers can contact Lyndsay through her website, Coco Cake. And the rest of us can drool over her amazing cakes by following her blog (Want some ice cream to go with that cake? Check out her artisan ice cream blog!).

That Miffy cake is crazy cute!
These are adorable! They combine my two favorites - children's books and cake! Maybe you can make a cake when my picture book lauches - THE BUSY LIFE OF ERNESTINE BUCKMEISTER.
That would be sweet :)
