California Dreamin'

It's no surprise that Arcade Fire's most recent acclaimed endeavor The Suburbs has received heavy rotation on our ipods and playlists since being released at the beginning of August. What we weren't expecting was how much their dreamy album art would inspire us to want to bring a bit of that hazy, washed-out California essence into our homes.

For us, The Suburbs cover image generates memories of hanging out with our friends in a dated basement at the end of summer- everyone anxiously awaiting the impending school year. We've gathered some items that will bring a bit of that dreamy, west coast 1960's and 70's suburbia to your home- itchy wool couch not included.
