Name: California (9 months) Location: Windsor, Ontario, Canada Color Inspiration: I have always loved pink and orange together. California's room was previously my home office, which was hot pink, pale pink and orange. So the lazy decorator in me breathed a sigh of relief when I found out I was having a a girl. The only things I had to do were bring in her crib, dresser and shelves and focus on some special touches like bedding. My favourite part of her room is the customized flower and bird wall decal.

Tip for Using Color: Since hot pink and orange aren't subtle colours, my goal was to balance them with the warm neutral wall colour and soft pink. I think you can make pretty much any colour (bold or subdued) work with a neutral colour on the wall. Since we're probably going to be selling our home soon, I also thought it important to keep her room neutral and not too girly. The chair pattern and wall decal are pretty bold, so I also made an effort to keep the bedding fairly plain.

Colors Used: Wall colour Palm Springs Tan (CIL), hot pink, pale pink and orange accents.

Thanks for your colorful entry Cora and good luck!
