(Deadline is Friday, February 10th! Bring it on. Every submission recieves a confirmation, so if you submitted and haven't received one yet, send us an email asap.) Editor's Note: San Fancisco shall henceforth always be referred to as San Francisco. ;-) Dear Readers,
Ever since September, when we put out a survey to see which city we should TRY to launch AT in next, we have been looking hard at San Francisco and Chicago as they both tied for first place. In the end we decided, heck, why not go for two. So this challenge now lies before us: - Find two awesome editors by March 1 - Launch two new awesome sites by April 1 We would very much like to find a blogger from within our ranks, so although we are looking for likely candidates in other places, we are putting out the word here with the hopes that one of you will fit this shoe. If you are interested, read on below. We are looking for: smart, nosy, writers with a great design eye and knowledge of where to find things in your city. It is a half-time job (8-10 posts a day), and we like it if you have a life outside of blogging, which involves you with interior design in some way. We like enthusiasts. We like generous people. We think of this as like a radio show: it is about collecting great home resources, hosting the local design community and bringing people together. It is not all about you, you, you. And, yes, we do pay our writers. You need: - at least four hours a day - a good computer - a reliable high speed connection - a digital camera - a good knowledge of how to use all these things AT's Mission: constantly helping people to have beautiful, organized, healthy homes, through blogging resources (like Zagat's), reviewing products (like CNET.com), tracking the news (like CNN) and providing inspiration (through sharing house tours and design ideas). Please submit to firstname.lastname@example.org with "SUBMISSIONS" in big letters in the subject header: - Your name - Where you live - How the AT in your city would be different from NY and LA - 3 people you would like to interview - How did you find AT? - How familiar are you with blogging? - 3 sample posts (a. one hot local shop b. one hot product c. one house tour with 10 pics - keep them 100-200 words max) Thanks, and good luck!
