I first became introduced to the paintings of Camille Rose Garcia when a friend dressed as one of her adorably haunting girls for Halloween. So pretty, and so spooky! Later, I had the chance to see a few of Camille's works in person at another friend's house. They are lush and gorgeous, but I don't know if I'd be able to sleep with them around. Would you?Camille Rose Garcia's work makes me wish I wasn't such a scaredy-cat. I find her paintings to be hilarious, beautiful, fun, and daring, and the colors are perfection, but alas, they scare me. Do you have macabre art in your home? Did it take some getting used to?
The first three images here are available as limited-edition prints, but the others ("Chocolate Owl Overload" from Ultraviolenceland and "White Swan Deluge" from Dreamtime Escape Plan) have been sold- I just wanted you to see them. And to remind myself not to overdo it on the chocolate owls this Halloween.
