We've heard that the only public campground in NYC is in Brooklyn, at Floyd Bennett Field. At $50 for three nights, it's a summertime escape fit for the great outdoors, but it's no farther than Jamaica Bay…

Been visiting Floyd Bennett Field by bike from Brighton Beach Bklyn for years and never knew there was a campground!
YIKES!!! I can think of a millions better ways to spend my money in Brooklyn. A trip to the Greenpoint Food Market for starters....
