Cam's Quilt-Inspired Room

My Room

Name: Cam (4)
Location: Ottawa, Ontario

The inspiration for Cam's room came from the quilt on his bed that I found online. I was pregnant with his brother when I bought it so I went ahead and purchased two in case we decided they would share a room.

Cam's bed was built 65 years by my husband's grandfather for his children. It is solid! We had it refinished in a red lacquer finish and it's my favourite piece in the room. The art above the bed was painted by my grandmother. It was meant to go in our living room, but the colours just work so awesomely in here it had to stay. The colour of the walls is Azores from the Benjamin Moore Affinity Collection. It is my favourite shade of blue green. I'd love to use it in a dining room someday!

Cam loves his room! He has the space to display all his cool art projects on his walls and on the bookshelves. I love how his books and toys are easily accessible and there is always space to put things away. I especially love that it is a room he can grow into without too many changes.

Thanks, Natalie! Readers, say hello to Natalie at Decorating Den Interiors.
