Can I Make a Short-Term, Furnished Rental Feel Like Home?

Good Questions

Q: I've recently accepted a contract position that will last about six months in another city. The kicker is: I have no furniture! I currently live with my parents and so have no need for my own furniture. I'm looking into renting a furnished short term apartment, but I'm concerned about making it feel like home. Does anyone have experience living in these types of situations? What did you bring to make it a home, but make it still easy enough to move out of when the time came?
